Paperback, Kindle & Hardcover Books

My inspiration for this book was discovering how I made this happen in my own life

As a professional dancer, instructor, choreographer, judge and a 25-year dance studio owner, it is my belief that when we set goals and focus on our dreamz with planning and dedication we can achieve them.

My hope is to empower dancers to be the best they can be

The Aspiring Dreamz book is my way of sharing with young dancers the path to inner happiness through goal setting developed through 20 years of workshops helping thousands of students.

Goal setting for dancers

Aspiring Dreamz founder, Kelly Cannone has been an arts educator for more than 40 years.

  • Dance with a purpose

Throughout the last two decades Kelly has served on The Arts Advocate of RI, Dance Teachers Club of Connecticut and Dance Masters of America, and was a Board Member of the Warwick Consortium of the Arts & Humanities. In 1981 she founded Dance Artistry, Inc. in Warwick, RI and became owner of the studio Dancer Magazine called "One of the four most successful studios in America."

  • Her inspiration

My Mom is one of the people that I admire most. Why? My mom has the brightest outlook on life and her attitude is always positive. She taught me that your attitude is what will bring you success in life. She always sees the good in everyone and her attitude is like a ray of sunshine that shines on you when you are near her. What she gave me is priceless.

  • International presence

In 1981 she founded Dance Artistry, Inc. in Warwick, RI and became owner of the studio Dancer Magazine called "One of the four most successful studios in America." She started her own dance company, the Dance Artistry Dancers, a nonprofit organization, for ages seven to twenty, who perform all across the United States. They have also performed internationally in a cultural exchange program visiting Copenhagen, Denmark, Minsk and Moscow, Russia.

  • Giving back

One of the reasons Kelly started Aspiring Dreamz is because she saw how a program like this helps young children find their dreamz and goals and something to help them discover a passion for their future. "Dance gave me a direction in life. It took me from someone who was lost trying to find their way to someone with a new passion and direction. I will be donating a portion of the proceeds of this book to Orange Ribbons for Jaime.”

Orange Ribbons for Jaime

Proudly donating a portion of the proceeds from every book.

I am very passionate about this organization and honoring the memory of Jaime Guttenberg, a young competitive dancer, is dear to my heart. Her life was cut short due to gun violence; something I have personally experienced.

Using the acronym “A.S.P.I.R.E.” for 6 easy steps to success

This is a results-based, proven program that is inspiring, easy to understand and fun.

The Vision

Our workshops encourage self-esteem and self-awareness by focusing each student on his or her strengths and setting attainable goals for the future.

Help them discover their own unique talent

  • The students were to create a collage of pictures that connected their goals and share their thoughts and ideas about the future with their groups. It was amazing how involved students became once they felt personally connected.
